I’m conducting an experiment. I wonder if anybody can read this? I have yet to find out more about technology in this universe. Or, the universe, since I guess it’s the only one that’s ever existed. Is it? Did Pythias transport us to another universe when he took our bodies? No, that’s not possible. There’s something familiar about this one, as if everything just falls into place with us being here. As if our bodies couldn’t exist by design under a different set of rules. Oh yeah, and plus there are records of me, Elijah Fulmouth, existing here. Right.
Anyway, I’m soaking up information online and I can’t help but wonder what footprints I’m leaving behind as I’m doing so. You see, there’s this protocol that exists in the universe that passes information through invisible waves in the air around us, allowing everyone to stay connected. (Note to self: do there exist intelligent species able to see the invisible waves? Must do some more research) Machines are simply programmed to follow this protocol and voila, we can talk to each other across planets and even in some cases snoop on each other’s activity. This second part concerns me quite a bit. I’ve been careful but I don’t know how careful. For this reason I haven’t brought up my findings to my cohort yet… Ignorance is bliss, I suppose. But my cohort is super smart and knows about everything, so I’m sure they’re already careful. How does that work, anyway? They’ve just absorbed knowledge faster? Their amnesia went easy on them? I’m the one who’s the fool, always running my mouth about things that don’t matter. But anyway, if you’re reading this then hello. Whether you’re a friend or an enemy, I hope that through this form of communication we’ve made a connection somehow. Gotta go now, I’ll write more later.
